Otterton Mill has been using water power to produce stoneground, wholemeal flour for over a thousand years. The flour is used exclusively in our famous craft bakery - where it is hand-baked (seven days a week) into bread and a tempting array of cakes, shortbread, flapjacks and our ever-popular scones. All our flours and the vast majority of our other ingredients are organically grown.

Some of the bread and cakes make their way to our restaurant, whilst the majority are sold in our Devon Food Shop (voted Best Specialist Shop in Devon 2005 by Devon Life Magazine) alongside the county's best local produce, including preserves, honey, free range eggs, wine, beers, chocolates and much more.

We also supply our produce to B Natural, the excellent wholefood shop on the Strand in Exmouth.
Opening hours: The Devon Food Shop is open year round from 10am to 5pm

Special Diets: We are developing a large range of bread and cakes for people on special diets including several completely gluten-free products.

Orders: We often sell-out of bread rather quickly (is that because it's so good?) so to make sure that we have what you're after give us a call before 10am or the previous day. Call 01395 568031. Call this number also if you want us to bake a cake to order (for a birthday, for example).
