Otterton Mill is ideally placed within prime walking, riding and cycling country, and we welcome thousands of outdoor enthusiasts, nature lovers and dog walkers every year.
The Mill sits next to the River Otter, where you'll find well-maintained, flat paths meandering along the river in either direction. Look out for an abundance of wildlife, from kingfishers and herons, to nesting swans and the elusive otters.
A short walk downstream will connect you with the South West Coast Path at White Bridge, from where you can access the 95 miles of the awe-inspiring Jurassic Coastline for superb coastal walking.
There are also numerous walking, riding and off-road cycling trails over the nearby heathlands and forests of Woodbury Common, part of the 2,800 acres of the East Devon Pebblebed Heaths.
Whether you start or finish at Otterton Mill, you'll find a warm welcome and well-deserved refreshment, whether it's a reviving tea or coffee, hearty lunch, or a rewarding beer or cream tea!
We're not fussy about muddy boots in our cafe-restaurant, and we also have extensive outdoor seating areas. We're also very dog-friendly, and allow well-behaved dogs into our downstairs restaurant.
Bike storage areas are also available.
Please note: Parking is available at the Mill for customers who are going off-site for short walks of no longer than 30 minutes. If you're heading off for longer periods, you'll find ample parking in the village.
